Packages for F# PowerPack

description

In addition to the existing packages (that install the core F# components and compiler), we also need similar packages for F# PowerPack (http://fsharppowerpack.codeplex.com/).
F# PowerPack is using the same MS-PL license, so we can freely copy binaries/sources from the project (if it makes the work easier - currently the downloadable ZIP fails to unzip on Linux).

The downloadable ZIP contains "gac" directory, so we should just install all assemblies from that directory to GAC. For MonoDevelop integration, we need especially:
  • FSharp.PowerPack
  • FSharp.Compiler.CodeDom

Seconded. When I try to install the DLLs manually in Mac OS X, gacutil reports:

"Failure adding assembly /Users/andrew/FSharpPowerPack-4.0.0.0/bin/FSharp.PowerPack.Parallel.Seq.dll to the cache: Attempt to install an assembly without a strong name"

Not to mention that gacutil must be manually applied, individually, to each, and every, DLL, file. Agonizing.

Are you using a Visual Studio project and/or MSBuild? If so, set "Copy Local" to true for these DLLs. Then the DLLs become part of your application.

In this case, I was not using Visual Studio, I was trying to install the powerpack in Mac OS X.
